Q: I'm working on a college Women's Studies class project - women of color.  I'm looking at women of color in the world of sports.  Although there are Asian women in the LPGA, can you tell me if there are or have been African-American players?

A: There have in fact been three African American women who have played in the LPGA: Althea Gibson, Renee Powell and Laree Sugg. 

As it is our goal to keep you well informed and in the know, we would like to hear your questions and concerns about anything in the topic range of sports, health, fitness, sex, dieting and lifestyle.
